The marketing campaign for the new Scream is ramping up and today I received a postcard from the Woodsboro Horror Film Club promoting their brand new TikTok.
Sarah and Ash host the canonized account that’s currently celebrating the slasher genre, and with it, the horror classic Stab. The duo begins by countdown their favorite slasher kills, but things quickly devolve with the revelation that Ghostface might be, *gulp*, back.
Talk of movies falls into the background as Sarah and Ash recount the history of Ghostface, Stab, and begin to theorize what’s going on in the new series of murders. There are a ton of clues sprinkled throughout the account such as the reveal that Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad (Mason Gooding) are the niece and nephew of… Randy Meeks!
We’re now less than a month away from the return of the Scream franchise, with next year’s franchise relaunch/legacy sequel coming exclusively to movie theaters on January 14, 2022.
