Upcoming Arena Shooter ‘Impaler’ Gets Limited-Time Crossover With ‘Project Warlock’

Apptivus’ Impaler isn’t out yet, but already the developer has announced a special limited-time crossover involving Buckshot Software’s Project Warlock. Upon Impaler‘s release next week, the game will include in-game enemy and weapon skins from Project Warlock.

Available until January 5, 2023, Impaler will feature Project Warlock‘s Demoness enemy, ready to suck out your life. Don’t worry, as you’ll be prepared with the powerful Harvester shotgun. Sadly, it doesn’t appear that Impaler will be making the leap to Project Warlock. However, one can hold out hope that with Project Warlock II (which was released into Steam Early Access this past summer), Apptivus will be able to return the favour.

In case you missed it, Impaler is one of those “easy to play, difficult to master” titles where the premise is rather simple: in a nod to classic arena shooters, you’re dropped into an arena facing off against hordes of demons and other monsters. You’ve got the ability to summon spikes to impale your foes, build barriers, or use these spikes to reach higher ground. There are also rogue-like elements to ensure that each run is different each time you play.

Impaler arrives on Steam on December 6 for a measly $2.99 USD. Project Warlock is available on Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
