An uncut 35mm print of Sean Cunningham’s Friday the 13th from the UK will be shown at Tribeca’s Roxy Cinema in NY this Friday (8/13) and Saturday (8/14), we’ve learned today.
“The special cut of the film comes from the UK theatrical release and marks the first screening of Friday the 13th in NYC on its namesake holiday since 2013,” the press release hypes.
The team continues, “Here’s a rare chance to view the classic slasher on film with a few extra seconds of Tom Savini’s gore effects cut from the original U.S. theatrical release.”
“Friday the 13th shows Friday, August 13 at 11:30 pm and Saturday, August 14 at midnight as part of the series Screen Slate at Roxy Cinema.”
