Stunlock Studios has dropped a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming “Secrets of Gloomrot” expansion for V Rising. Unlike the one that was released a few weeks ago, this trailer provides more of an overview of what the “Secrets of Gloomrot” expansion will contain, including improved castle building, expanded combat mechanics, and significant changes to the world map which includes the new biome of Gloomrot.
As one of the game’s larger regions, Gloomrot offers an extensive new area to explore where players will fight against mutated experiments and mechanical wonders spawned from the twisted imaginations of the Trancendum. Players will hunt the blood of the brilliantly insane to harness the power of lightning and enter a new age of technology.
In addition to the new biome, the update includes a long list of improvements and new content, including the previously-mentioned castle building. Players can construct multiple castle floors, claim castle territories and customize their domains in new ways. Combat is improved and has become more diverse with the addition of new weapon types and a new spell school. On top of that, the jewel system allows players to modify their spells to their liking.
The world of Vardoran has also been revamped, offering players new points of interest to visit, visual updates, new items, and enemy types. Players will also encounter 13 additional bosses and 30 new enemy types.
“Secrets of Gloomrot” is set to launch on May 17th. V Rising is available now in Early Access on Steam.
