Bloody Disgusting has learned that on Friday, May 20th, Gunpowder & Sky’s horror brand ALTER will be exclusively premiering The Thing That Ate The Birds, an unsettling and anxiety-addled ALTER Original short horror film by writer and director duo Sophie Mair (Ella, And the Baby Screamed) and Dan Gitsham (Ella, And the Baby Screamed).
The short premiered at last year’s SXSW and had a strong festival run, and you can watch a creepy exclusive clip down below. It gives us our first look at the mysterious “thing”…
“Set on the North Yorkshire Moors, the film follows Abel, the Head Gamekeeper as he discovers the thing that is eating his grouse. His blunt and violent response brings the menace back home shattering his already crumbling relationship with his wife.”
