‘The Munsters’: Rob Zombie Teases Grandpa Munster’s Look With New Behind the Scenes Shot

Another behind the scenes treat from Rob Zombie today continues to tease The Munsters, a live action take on the classic series that Zombie wrote and is gearing up to direct.

This time around, we’ve been provided with a sneak-peek at a familiar looking wig, which is of course our first preview of Zombie’s own personal take on Grandpa Munster. The character was played by the late Al Lewis in the original series, and like all of Zombie’s preview teases in recent days, this one again suggests he’s staying true to that classic look and feel.

Who will be playing Grandpa in the movie? Stay tuned…

We’ve thus far been provided with a blueprint for Zombie’s recreation of the iconic 1313 Mockingbird Lane house as well as wardrobe concepts for both Herman & Lily Munster.

If you want to revisit the original series, “The Munsters” is streaming on Peacock. That series ran for just two seasons between 1964 and 1966, spawning several feature films and a sequel television series titled “The Munsters Today” (1988 – 1991). Most recently, Bryan Fuller’s “Mockingbird Lane” reimagined the series for NBC, but never made it past a pilot episode.
