“The Boys” Team Up with ‘Call of Duty’ for Superhero Sized Video Game Crossover

The official trailer for Call of Duty season four teased a potential collaboration with Prime Video’s gory superhero seroes “The Boys”, and the series’ official Twitter account confirms the rumors are true: expect to see supes Black Noir, Homelander, and Starlight in video game form soon.

“The Boys” themed trailer announcing the collaboration, below, presents as a Vought press conference with the silent Black Noir. The cheeky video announces the trio of characters as Operators that will arrive in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Warzone on July 12th, 2023. They will be part of the upcoming Season 4 Reloaded.

That’s great news for the series’ biggest fans, as series creator Eric Kripke recently gave an update on Twitter that “The Boys” season 4 will be delayed until the WGA strike has resolved.

Now streaming through Amazon Prime, “The Boys” (based on the best-selling comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson) puts a bold, fresh and bloody new spin on the superhero genre, centered on a group of vigilantes who set out to take down corrupt superheroes.

The Boys are Billy Butcher (Karl Urban, “Star Trek”), Hughie (Jack Quaid, “The Hunger Games”), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso, “Detroit”), Frenchie (Tomer Capon, “Hostages”), and The Female (Karen Fukuhara, “Suicide Squad”). Simon Pegg (“Mission: Impossible – Fallout”) guest stars as Hughie’s father.

The Supes of The Seven are led by Homelander (Antony Starr, “Banshee”) who is joined by Starlight (Erin Moriarty, “Captain Fantastic”), Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott, “House of Cards”), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher, “Independence Day: Resurgence”), The Deep (Chace Crawford, “Gossip Girl”) and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell, “Supernatural”).

If you’re not a Call of Duty fan but still in need of a gory, satirical superhero fix, “The Boys” spinoff series “Gen V” is still currently expected to arrive this Fall.

Call of Duty‘s midseason update will arrive on July 12, 2023. So just around the corner!
