‘Strangers’: Claire Foy Starring in Upcoming Movie That Brings Long-Dead Parents Back to Life

Claire Foy (Unsane) has been set to star in an intriguing genre movie titled Strangers, Variety reports this afternoon, with Andrew Haigh (Lean on Pete) on board to direct the film.

Andrew Scott (“Fleabag”), Paul Mescal (“Normal People”), and Jamie Bell (Rocketman) will star alongside Claire Foy in the movie. Here’s the plot synopsis provided by Variety…

“The film follows screenwriter Adam (Scott) who, one night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, has a chance encounter with his mysterious neighbor Harry (Mescal) that punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As Adam and Harry get closer, Adam is pulled back to his childhood home where he discovers that his long-dead parents (Foy and Bell) are both living and look the same age as the day they died over 30 years ago.”

Strangers is based on the 1987 novel by Taichi Yamada.

The film hails from Searchlight Pictures, Film4 and Blueprint Pictures.
