‘Scream VI’ Just Became the Fifth ‘Scream’ Movie to Pass $100 Million Worldwide

One week after scoring the franchise’s highest opening weekend to date, the Radio Silence-directed Scream VI has now passed $100 million at the worldwide box office.

As of this morning, Scream VI has amassed a worldwide total of $116 million – the domestic total at this time is $76 million – which makes it the fifth movie in the slasher franchise to hit that $100 million mark. The only film in the franchise that didn’t quite reach those heights was Wes Craven’s Scream 4 back in 2011, which ended its worldwide run with $97 million.

Scream VI is on track to pass Scream 2022’s worldwide total of $137 million, and if it can pass the original movie’s $173 million it’ll be the highest grossing Scream movie to date.

Stay tuned… and you can probably expect a Scream 7 announcement soon…

Meagan wrote in her review of Scream VI, “This slasher sequel lets a ruthless Ghostface loose in the city, slicing up an intense, flawless entry that continues the streak of insightful introspection while escalating the thrills, kills, humor, and heart to a breathless degree.”

In the brand new movie, “The Scream saga continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.”

Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream, Ready or Not) were both back behind the camera for this latest Scream movie, which is officially titled Scream VI.

Melissa Barrera (“Sam”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy”), Mason Gooding (“Chad”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara”), and Dermot Mulroney star in the new installment of Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures’ franchise, with Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, Mayhem, The Babysitter, “Ash vs Evil Dead”), Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: Homecoming & No Way Home), Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (The Beach House), Devyn Nekoda (“Ghostwriter”), Josh Segarra (“Arrow), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not) also starring.

Courteney Cox and Hayden Panettiere are also back as Gale and Kirby, respectively.
