‘Saw X’ Featurette Video Promises a Gory Sequel That “Feels Like the Early Movies” in the Franchise

Jigsaw is back in Saw X on September 29, a sequel to the original Saw movie that takes place just weeks after the iconic events of James Wan’s franchise-starting horror classic.

Lionsgate has unleashed a brand new featurette video to whet your appetite even further this afternoon, featuring insights alongside fresh new footage from the upcoming Saw X.

Director Kevin Greutert teases, “It was our desire to make a film that feels more like the early Saw movies.” Producer Oren Koules notes, “In our mind, this is really Saw II.”

Koules stresses that Saw X is a Saw movie that’s entirely made for the longtime fans of the franchise, which has come through in all of the film’s marketing up to this point.

Lionsgate teases, “The return of Tobin Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve.”

“John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back for the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s final games.”

“Set between the events of Saw I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable.

“The infamous killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.”

Shawnee Smith is back as Amanda Young in Saw X.
