‘Punisher: War Zone’ Star Ray Stevenson Has Passed Away

According to reports this afternoon, British-Irish actor Ray Stevenson has tragically passed away this week. The Punisher: War Zone star was just 58 years old.

Ray Stevenson was most recently seen in the Academy Award-winning action movie RRR, playing the critically acclaimed Indian film’s central villain.

Stevenson memorably played Frank Castle in 2008’s Punisher: War Zone, a violent comic book movie that cemented him as many fans’ all-time favorite Punisher actor.

Beginning his screen career in 1993, Ray Stevenson amassed over 60 credits in film and television, including the films King Arthur, Outpost, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, The Book of Eli, The Other Guys, Kill the Irishman, Thor, The Three Musketeers, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Thor: Dark World, Divergent, Big Game, The Transporter Refueled, Insurgent, Cold Skin, Thor: Ragnarok, Accident Man, Memory, and Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday.

On the small screen, Ray Stevenson appeared in “The Dwelling Place,”  “Band of Gold,” “At Home with the Braithwaites,” “Murphy’s Law,” “Rome,” “Dexter,” and “Star Wars: Rebels.”
