If you missed out on the time-limited demo last month for Bloober Team’s Layers of Fear, don’t fret. The game is only a few short days away from release, and revealed today is the cinematic story trailer for Layers of Fear, which depicts the story of recently introduced new protagonist The Writer.
“The official premiere of Layers of Fear is just around the corner, and it’s no secret that everyone at Bloober Team and Anshar Studios has been waiting for this moment for a long time,” says Piotr Babiano, Bloober Team CEO. “We are thus closing an important chapter in our history, and are very much interested in general feedback from the Layers of Fear community. We hope that fans of the series—as well as new players—will enjoy the unique atmosphere of the game and immerse themselves fully in it. We wish you great fun, as much as we were having during the development process!”
Described as “a psychological horror chronicle built upon the foundations of the original Layers of Fear, Layers of Fear: Inheritance, and Layers of Fear 2,” Layers of Fear builds on the foundations of the franchise’s previous entries and “works as a reimagination of the overall narrative structure connecting them all.”
Layers of Fear arrives June 15 for the Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
