Neve Campbell may not be returning to the Scream franchise in next year’s brand new sequel, but she has essentially reprised the role of Sidney Prescott for a good cause this week.
Campbell stars in a new 1-minute commercial for American Red Cross titled “A Bloody Nightmare,” a clever riff on horror movie tropes that encourages viewers to donate blood.
“Blood isn’t just for movies. It saves lives,” stresses the ad, which shows a series of characters wasting their life-saving blood by putting themselves in horror movie situations.
Neve Campbell, meanwhile, arms herself with a baseball bat just like Sidney Prescott would, reminding viewers that there’s so much more good they can do with their blood.
“When’s the last time you donated blood?” Campbell asks at the end of the commercial.
