Netflix’s “Resident Evil” Clip Introduces Iconic Game Moment with Zombie Dog

Netflix’s “Resident Evil” television series arrives tomorrow, on July 14, 2022. Ahead of release, we have a brand new clip that introduces one of the iconic mainstays from the franchise: the zombie dog, aka Cerebus.

It’s only the tip of the iceberg ahead for the franchise Easter eggs, references, and iconic monsters drawn from the expansive video game franchise.

The 8-episodes series was written/executive produced by Mary Leah Sutton, who appears in the featurette to shed some light on the series’ approach to evolving the story from its video game origins. Stars Lance Reddick and Ella Balinska also weigh in on the unpredictable story ahead.

Showrunner Andrew Dabb previously shared that the creative team took “all the games and shuffled them together” for the Netflix series, which plays with various elements fans will recognize.

The all-new series expansion brings the best of the Resident Evil DNA forward – bad-ass heroines, insane creatures (some new/some familiar), a battle for survival and of course, a deep mystery to unravel. Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) expands the directions with fresh storytelling, bone-chilling horror and an action-packed spectacle perfect for summer binging.”

  • Ella Balinska

  • Siena Agudong
  • Adeline Rudolph
