Netflix Planning to Premiere Tim Burton Series “Wednesday” This Fall

Spotted at Licensing Expo in Las Vegas by Collider this afternoon, it looks like Tim Burton‘s Netflix series “Wednesday” is coming this Fall, according to promo art at the event.

The art is the same as the first piece of teaser art Netflix debuted for the series a while back, but this is the first time a release window has been provided by the streamer.

Stay tuned and check out the Licensing Expo poster over on Collider.

Jenna Ortega (Scream, X) is playing Wednesday Addams in Tim Burton‘s upcoming live action Netflix series “Wednesday,” which is based on the “Addams Family” property.

Alongside Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams, Luis Guzmán is Gomez and Catherine Zeta-Jones is Morticia in the upcoming series. Christina Ricci will also appear in the show.

“Wednesday” is described as “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.” It’s said to follow…

“Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships.”

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (“Smallville”) are writing and showrunning. Burton is directing.

Wednesday Addams has most recently been played by Chloë Grace Moretz in 2019’s animated movie, and earlier in live-action by Lisa Loring on TV and Christina Ricci in the films.
