While “right around the corner” took a bit, Behaviour Interactive’s DLC update for their post-apocalyptic co-op shooter Meet Your Maker is now live with Sector 2: Shattered Peak. Alongside a new environment and Deco pack, this DLC adds a new Custodian and guard to shake up gameplay for Raiders and Builders alike.
Deep in the desolate Arctic wastes lies the Shattered Peak Sanctuary. Once a bastion of science and technology, a contaminated GenMat shipment caused its residents to turn on one another, using their deadly creations to tear the Sanctuary apart from the inside. Appropriately, the new Deco Pack in the DLC is inspired by the Arctic wasteland. Blocks of ice, frozen metal, thermal heaters, fluttering tarp, and a decal set featuring the markings of a northern shelter provides plenty of new possibilities for Builders.
As for the new Custodian, the Overseer is equipped with the latest technological advancements, allowing the wearer to slowly glide after jumping. Its powerful Biolinks can reveal the location of the Harvester Path, Forsaken Tombs, and nearby resources. Countering any Raiders is the new Assassin. Relying on stealth to ambush its target, it remains nearly imperceptible until it unleashes its devastating dash attack.
That’s not all for this update, as coming in late October is a revamped Expeditions. Expeditions will let players embark through a brand-new map system, arming them with game-changing enhancements. This update will “redefine the raiding experience, putting more control in the hands of our dedicated community.” You can get a glimpse of what’s to come from the video below.
