Right on cue, the time-limited demo for Bloober Team’s upcoming Layers of Fear is now available on Steam. Not only that, but the developers have announced June 15 as the release date for Layers of Fear.
The Layers of Fear demo will be available on Steam from now until May 22nd at 3pm PT. This sneak peek “offers a chilling glimpse into the unsettling world of The Writer”, the game’s third and final protagonist. Players will be able to explore her story as it “serves as a nexus to connect the story threads of the previous installments.”
“We are thrilled to announce the release date for Layers of Fear and to bring this definitive horror experience to players on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC [via Steam and the Epic Games Store], on June 15th” said Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team. “With the power of Unreal Engine 5, we’ve been able to create a game that visually surpasses our previous works, delivering an unforgettable journey into the minds of tormented artists. We are excited for both new and returning players to jump in”.
Layers of Fear is described as “a psychological horror chronicle built upon the foundations of the original Layers of Fear, Layers of Fear: Inheritance, and Layers of Fear 2.” Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the new entry builds on the foundations of the franchise’s previous entries and “works as a reimagination of the overall narrative structure connecting them all.”
