‘Knock at the Cabin’ Tops the Box Office With $21 Million Worldwide Debut

The latest thriller from M. Night Shyamalan, Universal’s Knock at the Cabin opened in theaters around the world over the weekend, and today brings the official box office report.

Here in the United States, Knock at the Cabin opened in the #1 spot on the charts, scaring up $14,200,000 in 3,643 theaters from Thursday night through Sunday night.

Worldwide, Knock at the Cabin opened to $21,222,000 over the weekend.

These numbers put the film about on par with the opening weekend for Old back in 2021. That film opened to $16.8 million domestically, eventually making $90 million worldwide. Will Knock at the Cabin ultimately reach a similar total? We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.

Up next from M. Night Shyamalan is another thriller for Universal, which doesn’t have a title at this time. It does, however, have a date. Expect it in theaters on April 5, 2024.

In Knock at the Cabin

“While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.”

Dave Bautista (Army of the Dead), Rupert Grint (“Servant”) and Nikki Amuka-Bird (Old) star alongside Ben Aldridge (“Pennyworth”) and Jonathan Groff (“Mindhunter”).
