"Kids are awesome, parenting sucks" is a statement that gets a lot of use in our house (sorry @wellnessmimi, I know you dislike that word) but our beautiful girl was NOT behaving beautifully when she showed up to have her photos done today with Mimi and Grammy and mommy. She was sour, and I had to listen to a half hour of crying on the drive home because we weren’t getting ice cream. But Finn had done really well, so then does he not get ice cream? We ended up getting some for Finn for after supper and gave Addy another chance, to apologize for not listening and to take a happy picture with mommy because it’s important to her. Should we have stuck to our "no" ? Would a better lesson be learned? These questions… Ick. My kids are awesome, but parenting. ICK
