Take a journey back to where it all began…

As you may recall, a a 5-minute extended preview for next year’s Jurassic World: Dominion was played ahead of F9 *only* in IMAX theaters, and the prologue is now available online!

“The Extended Preview provides a sense of the film’s thrilling spectacle intended for the biggest and most immersive screens. Partially set 65 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period, the action-packed Preview features dinosaurs that have never been seen in a Jurassic film– and reveals mind-blowing scenes and pulse-racing surprises.”

The press release explained, “The five-minute Special Extended Preview of Jurassic World: Dominion, which audiences will be able to experience in full-screen 1:90:1 IMAX® aspect ratio, includes a prologue to the film’s narrative and is set 65 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period, when dinosaurs roamed the entire Earth. The breathtaking, action-packed scenes, featuring Oscar® winner Michael Giacchino’s iconic score, reveal what Earth looked like long before humans existed and tell the origin story of how dinosaur DNA first came to be carried by a mythic mosquito. The Preview features seven new species of dinosaurs, created by the legendary Industrial Light & Magic, that have never been seen in any Jurassic film before. But the Preview doesn’t end there and holds some real trademark Jurassic surprises with dinosaurs later roaming an Earth that is decidedly less theirs alone.”

The prologue features a flashback to the past before jumping ahead to the present, illustrating the two periods of time in which dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Then… and right now.

Experience all the epic glory below! And be aware that “the Prologue, a new, five-minute special prologue to Jurassic World Dominion, directed by Dominion director and co-writer Colin Trevorrow, is not featured in the film itself but is separate, original content. The Prologue serves as the beginning of a story that will be continued in theaters next summer.”

Dominion‘s cast includes familiar and new faces such as Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Dichen Lachman, Mamoudou AthieDeWanda Wise and Scott Haze.

Plot details are still under wraps, but Fallen Kingdom promised a sequel wherein the dinosaurs are now on the mainland… and humans are falling to the bottom of the food chain.
