Japanese Open-World Zombie Epic ‘Ed-0: Zombie Uprising’ Launching July 13, Pre-orders Now Available [Trailer]

D3 Publisher and developer LANCARSE Ltd. have announced that after a year in Early Access, its zombie survival roguelike action title  Ed-0: Zombie Uprising will be leaving the service, and launching on July 13. Not only that, D3 has announced pre-orders are now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Pre-ordering the game will net you a bonus mini-quest titled “Rounding up Thieves”.

Per the press release, during the Early Access period, D3 has taken time to add additional content, as well as address community feedback by implementing major improvements that significantly enhance the overall player experience. Not only that, but the 1.0 launch will include several new features, including an EDO shader, which allows the player an option to toggle on an “Ukiyoe” style filter, and enough content for over 100 hours of gameplay.

Ed-0: Zombie Uprising takes place in a fictional Edo-era Japan, where hordes of zombies have raided the isolated country. No dungeon run will be the same, so players’ judgment will be of the utmost importance, having to face “once-in-a-lifetime” challenges with a wide variety of random elements amid dangerous foes. Ed-0: Zombie Uprising includes various undead enemies, ranging from “newly interpreted” Japanese zombies to foreign invaders born after the “Zombie Industrial Revolution.” Players will unlock more as they play (and succeed) with an increasing number of possibilities to customize builds to their liking—with the option to bump up the level of difficulty to test their capabilities.
