Genre-Bending Rom-Com “Wolf Like Me” Heading to Peacock This January

Writer/Director Abe Forsythe blended humor with horror in 2019’s charming Little Monsters, which saw a zombie outbreak interrupt a school field trip. Actor Josh Gad stole scenes as the beloved children’s TV personality with a dark side. Forsythe has reteamed with Gad for the upcoming series “Wolf Like Me,” described as a “genre-bending” romantic dramedy.

From the descriptor, its title, and Forsythe’s previous production, all signs point to a horror twist to this romantic dramedy. A werewolf, perhaps? We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a lycanthrope rom-com.

In the series, “Everyone brings their own set of baggage to a new relationship. Gary and Mary are no different. Gary is an emotional wreck and struggles to provide for his daughter since the death of his wife. Mary has a secret she can’t bring herself to share with anyone. The universe brought these two together for a reason; they just need to keep following the signs.”

The series stars Gad as Gary and Isla Fisher (Nocturnal Animals, Visions) as Mary. Forsythe serves as series creator, executive producer and directed all six episodes.

“Wolf Like Me” premieres on Peacock on January 13, 2022
