Epix shares the first teaser for “From”, the company’s upcoming contemporary sci-fi horror series that unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town in Middle America that traps all those who enter.
“As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.”
Epix comes out swinging with the first footage, showing a town locking a man in some sort of animal cage and promising he’s in for the worst night of his life. A horde of something come busting through its walls.
“Lost” veteran Harold Perrineau is the town’s sheriff and is shown locking the man into the cage. As one of the leads, Epix tells us that the sheriff’s “Draconian rules have held the fragile town together, even as he searches for a way to escape this seemingly inescapable nightmare.”
It also stars Oscar-nominated actress Catalina Sandino Moreno (“American Gothic,” “The Affair”) and Eion Bailey (“Band Brothers,” “The Stand”).
With the teaser also comes news of the premiere date for the series: February 20, 2022. Watch for more soon.
