While we wait for “Chucky” Season 2 later this year, SYFY has announced a “Chucky Pride Marathon” for this week, with the entire first season of the series getting an encore.
On Tuesday, June 28, “Chucky” Season 1 will be shown in its entirety on SYFY, all eight episodes of Don Mancini’s hit series thus far playing from 4pm EST until midnight EST!
“Chucky” has been described as a “fresh take on the franchise” that “explores Chucky’s character with a depth that is uniquely afforded by the television series format.”
In the series, “After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”
Brad Dourif is back as the voice of Chucky in the Child’s Play franchise’s first-ever television series, with Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif also reprising their fan-favorite franchise roles.
