It’s been seven long years since Choi Dong Hoon‘s (Assassination, The Thieves) last film and he’s back with Alienoid: Part 1, a sci-fi epic that can only be described as Independence Day meets Marvel.
In the film that blends action, fantasy, sci-fi, and horror…
“Alienoid centers around gurus in the late Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392) who try to obtain a fabled holy sword, and humans in 2022 who are hunting down an alien prisoner locked in a human’s body. The two parties cross paths when a time-traveling portal opens up.”
It features the cast of Kim Tae-ri, Kim Woo-bin, So Ji-seob, Ryu Jun-yeol, Yum Jung-ah, Kim Eui-eung, Lee Ha-nee and Jo Woo-jin.
Opening overseas this July, expect this in the U.S. sometime later this year.
