What Happened to Maria Flores? Gun Interactive Relaunches ‘Petals’ Tie-in Photography Game for ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’

The events of Gun’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game take place before the events of Tobe Hooper’s classic horror movie, beginning with the disappearance of Maria Flores. Maria’s sister (Anna Flores) and her friends head out to Texas to investigate, and that’s essentially the storyline behind every match of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre that you play.

In celebration of the video game hitting 1.1 million units sold and 5.6 million total players, Gun Interactive has relaunched Petals today, a free-to-play online photography game.

Gun previews the experience that first launched in 2022, “Go back to where it all started and experience the story of Maria’s fateful trip with Petals, a floral photography game.

“Walk in her shoes and learn more about her disappearance.”

You can download the FREE exploration sim and start playing now!

What can you expect from the game in the coming months? In addition to Barbara Crampton, a brand new map titled “The Mill” is on the way, along with a new Family member.

A “Museum Mode” for the Family House map is also coming soon.

Stay tuned for more on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as we learn it.

Brandon Trush writes in his review for BD, “asymmetrical horror evolves to fit a terror classic.”
