Strategy-Based ‘Mortal Kombat: Onslaught’ Now Available on Android and iOS [Trailer]

Almost a year to the day it was announced, NetherRealm and WB Games has launched Mortal Kombat: Onslaught for iOS and Android devices. For the first time in its history Mortal Kombat turns to fast-paced real-time strategy RPG battles of up to 10 characters.

The story is your typical Mortal Kombat fare. Only this time, in Mortal Kombat: Onslaught, you must build a team featuring your favorite Kombatants from Mortal Kombat‘s expansive history, and pit them against waves of foes. Assemble teams of four based on their unique fighting abilities, master kombat skills, like Kombos and Special Abilities, and create the strongest team, fighting your way through the game’s Story Mode.

Along the way, you’ll be collecting and leveling up iconic Fighters from Onslaught‘s massive roster, including veterans like Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage, Jade, Kitana, Jax, Sonya Blade, and more. You’ll also be summoning featured Fighters including rare fan-favorite variants of classic kombatants like Cyrax and Smoke.

Duel your way through the many chapters of RPG kombat, unlocking new champions along the way, and immersing yourself in the action-packed story of Shinnok’s bid for destruction. You’ll also earn a myriad of rewards and resources to increase your Fighters’ power, evolve kombat skills, and level up Gear. Onslaught also features Relics—powerful items pulled from Mortal Kombat lore—that you can equip on specific Fighters strategically and earn battle effect bonuses.

And if Story Mode isn’t enough, you can move over to the Boss Tower and Chasm Modes, or take your fighters to the Arena and challenge other players. Participating in player-versus-player Seasons will earn you special Arena rewards, not to mention having you climb the leaderboards to show everyone what you’re made of.
