Shark Attack Movie ‘Maneater’ Rated “R” for Violent Content and Gore

Shudder’s sequel The Reef: Stalked swims onto the horror streaming service tomorrow, and that one will be followed shortly thereafter by another shark attack movie, Maneater.

The Saban Films horror movie has just been rated “R” for…

“Language and some violent content/gore.”

Maneater is swimming to select theaters, Digital and On Demand on August 26, 2022.

Take a bite out of the Maneater trailer below.

In the film, written and directed by Justin Lee

“What better place to drown your sorrows than an idyllic island paradise? That was the idea when Jesse’s friends convinced her to not let a broken engagement stand in the way of enjoying her prepaid honeymoon. Their sorrows weren’t the only thing going to drown on their trip especially with a man-eating shark swimming just below the surface.”

Nicky Whelan, Trace Adkins, Jeff Fahey and Shane West star in Maneater.
