Hulu’s “Solar Opposites” Parodied Stephen King’s “The Mist”!

A third season of “Solar Opposites” has just crash-landed on Hulu, once again delivering nonstop insanity that constantly trickles into the horror space.

One of the best shows your not watching, “Solar Opposites” often taps into horror, taking the sci-fi chaos into ultra-violent and extremely gory territory.

This season isn’t as crazy as the previous two, but there are still several horror homages, including the season finale , which is a full-blown parody of Stephen King’s The Mist, which was adapted for the big screen in 2077 by Frank Darabont.

In the episode, the Solars struggle to tame an out-of-control Pupa that has exploded into a mist that’s bringing out the monster inside teenagers.

In other news, expect a “Solar Opposites” Halloween Special this fall.

Here are a few photos. Watch the episode right now on Hulu.
