Filmmaker Dutch Marich’s highly effective found footage horror movies Horror in the High Desert (2021) and Horror in the High Desert 2: Minerva (2023) are both now streaming on SCREAMBOX, a one-two punch of nightmare fuel that delves into mysterious disappearances in the Nevada wilderness. And the third film is on the way this year.
Horror in the High Desert 3: Firewatch is the title, and we’ve learned today that the found footage sequel will premiere at Unnamed Footage Festival this coming March!

Unnamed Footage Festival runs from March 26 – 31, 2024 in San Francisco, CA.

In the original Horror in the High Desert (2021), “In July 2017, outdoor enthusiast Gary Hinge went missing in northern Nevada. He was never located. Friends and loved ones recall the events and, for the first time, talk about the horrific conclusion to his fate.”
And in Horror in the High Desert 2: Minerva (2023), “In 2018 a string of tragedies unfolded in Northeastern Nevada. A woman was found dead and another would vanish along the same stretch of remote highway. Could these events be linked to the disappearance of Gary Hinge?”
