It seems that schools are always ripe for horror, and Tall Tide Games knows it. Though with Dark Lessons, instead of being trapped in the school, you’re instead trapped in the psychological nightmare that is your teacher’s home.
Set to arrive on PC via Steam in Q3 2024, Dark Lessons sees you lured you into your teacher’s house, though this is far from The Graduate. Now you’ve got to escape. Compounding matters is that the power is out, leaving you to rely on candlelight (and the management thereof) to navigate your teacher’s sprawling house, all the while avoiding your teacher’s murderous intents. The inventory system for Dark Lessons has you scouring the environment for items to combine in order to solve said puzzles. At the same time, you’ll also be uncovering dark secrets surrounding your teacher and her family.
Adding to it all is Dark Lessons‘ low-poly style reminiscent of graphic novels, combined with a “tense” soundtrack to provide a sinister atmosphere.
“I am super excited to turn my passion into a vocation and be able to reach a wide audience with Dark Lessons”, says Tall Tide Games’ Robert Seidel. “The game offers a very tense atmosphere and intriguing back story with some fresh twists that I am certain will please fans of the supernatural and the horror genre — and its vibrantly macabre cel-shaded visuals give it a wonderfully nostalgic flair.”
