During last week’s Warhammer Skulls Showcase 2026, Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games released the debut playable demo on Steam for the upcoming throwback FPS Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II, as well as unveiling a new trailer. The new footage showcases the frenetic action and devastating arsenal that awaits players when Boltgun II launches later this year for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series.
As for the demo, it transports you to a frozen battlefield where you’ll play through two levels of an icy Imperial facility overrun with the forces of Chaos. There you’ll battle the new Khorne enemies, as well as experience the two characters available to you in Boltgun II in the tanky powerhouse Malum Caedo or the agile, blade-wielding Nyra Veyrath.
Picking up where you left off at the end of the original Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, Boltgun II takes you to all-new locations in a branching, single-player campaign with more guns, more enemies, more exploration, and just plain old more of everything that made the first game so much fun.
Equip yourself with devastating new weapons, and leave nothing but bloody, pixelated remains in your wake as you charge into battle, annihilating heretics and traitors alike. Malum Caedo and Nyra Veyrath each boast their own unique weapons, abilities, and playstyles.
