‘Atomic Heart’ Devs Play a Game With Release Date in New Trailer [Video]

If you thought Mundfish’s Dystopian Soviet-era shooter Atomic Heart was weird from the get-go, the developer isn’t done going in that direction. With the new trailer (courtesy of IGN), the developer has announced that the release date for the shooter is “#######ber 2022” for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.

Yep.

By process of elimination, that would put Atomic Heart being out between September and December. Admittedly, it’s a fun gimmick that keeps the anticipation high, and it does leave time for Mundfish to do some polish on the game if it needs it.

In addition to the trailer, IGN also had a brief Q&A with Mundfish, which you can check out above. Topics include the genesis of the project, as well as the team’s inspiration for the game (spoiler: it involves Soviet sci-fi).
