Aaron Eckhart Spots a Shark in Renny Harlin’s ‘Deep Water’ Clip

If last week’s trailer left you hungry for more, today brings the first clip from Deep Water.

In the video, Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) and Molly Belle Wright (The Best Christmas Pageant Ever) attempt to save a fellow plane crash survivor from an encroaching shark… but it may be too late.

Directed by Renny Harlin (Deep Blue Sea, The Strangers), the survival thriller swims into theaters May 1 via Magenta Light Studios.

Ben Kingsley (Shutter Island), Angus Sampson (Insidious), Lucy Barrett (“Charmed”), Kelly Gale (Plane), and Li Wenhan (of the K-pop group UNIQ) round out the cast.

After flight from Los Angeles to Shanghai crashes in the middle of the Pacific, the survivors soon discover they’re not alone. The terrified group is forced to work together and overcome their differences if they hope to escape their sinking plane and the frenzy of sharks.

Damien Power (No Exit), Shayne Armstrong & SP Krause (The Darkness), and Pete Bridges penned the script, with additional writing by John Kim (Bait).

Kiss icon Gene Simmons produces along with Gary Hamilton, Volodymyr Artemenko, Grant Bradley, Dale G. Bradley, Neal Kingston, Robert Van Norden, Ryan Hamilton, Ying Ye, Adrián Guerra, and Bob Yari.

Deep Water is rated R for “violent content/bloody images and some language.”
