Luke Evans (Dracula Untold) and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil franchise) fight for survival against otherworldly creatures in director Brad Anderson’s Worldbreaker.
The film introduces Breakers — monstrous creatures that infect and mutate humans into killers — that were unleashed when The Stitch tore open the earth. Men are most vulnerable, leaving women to lead the war for humanity’s survival.
Willa’s mother fights on the front lines; her father, a battle-scarred veteran, fled the burning cities with her to a remote island. There, he trains her every day — sword, survival, discipline — preparing her for the moment the Breakers find them.
That moment comes when Willa discovers a lone girl washed ashore from a burning boat. Hiding her from her father, Willa dreams of friendship in a lonely world. But the girl’s infection exposes them, and soon the island is under siege.
With Breakers closing in, Willa and her father make a desperate push for escape. His last stand forces Willa to draw on everything he’s taught her — only to come face to face with the mother she’s only known through legend.
