Corey Hawkins Joins Mila Kunis in Psychological Thriller ‘Nightwatching’

Corey Hawkins (Kong: Skull Island) is set to co-star opposite Mila Kunis in Nightwatching, Deadline has learned.

Based on Tracy Sierra’s 2024 novel of the same name, the psychological thriller is directed by Adam Schindler & Brian Netto (Don’t Move).

Kunis stars as Lee, a mother who wakes to an intruder in her home during a relentless winter storm. In a single instant, what should have been an ordinary night unravels into a fight for survival.

As she struggles to protect her children, Lee is drawn into a harrowing game of doubt and danger, one that leaves her questioning not only who has entered her home, but what they truly want.

Hawkins will play the police officer in charge of her home invasion case.

Laura Moss & Brendan J. O’Brien (Birth/Rebirth) wrote the original adaptation with a current draft by T.J Cimfel & David White (Don’t Move).

Producers include Ridley Scott, Michael Pruss, and Sam Roston for Scott Free Productions, Erik Feig, Jessica Switch and Emily Wissink for Picturestart, and Kunis and Lisa Sterbakov for Kunis’ newly branded Brick for Sheep.

Graham Taylor and Christopher Slager will executive produce for Fifth Season, who is also financing the film. Justin Alvarado Brown will executive produce for Scott Free, with Roston and Avital Siegel overseeing for the company.

CAA Media Finance and WME Independent are representing the domestic distribution rights. Amazon MGM Studios will distribute internationally.

Nightwatching began shooting yesterday in California with Zach Kuperstein (Barbarian, Don’t Move) serving as cinematographer.
