Netflix’s ‘Lobo’ Miniseries Will Explore the Spanish Serial Killer Who Claimed to Be a Werewolf

Netflix has revealed the first image from “Lobo,” based on Spain’s first known serial killer.

Filming just began on the Spanish miniseries, which stars Luis Tosar (Sleep Tight) and Tristán Ulloa (Terminator: Dark Fate).

It explores the real-life case of Manuel Blanco Romasanta, a traveling tailor who became Spain’s first documented serial killer in rural 19th-century Galicia.

During his trial, he claimed to be a werewolf… and that is where the legend began.

“Lobo” is written by Alberto Marini (Sleep Tight) and Juan Galiñanes, with Marini and Javier Rodríguez Delgado taking on directing duties.

Vaca Films (Cell 211) is producing the miniseries.
