‘Halloween: The Video Game’ Reveals The First Playable Civilians

IllFonic and Gun Interactive have revealed five of its “Heroes of Haddonfield” for players to battle against Michael Myers in Halloween: The Video Game. While details on what specific abilities for Civilians are still to be revealed, there’s no shortage of personality for each of the five that have been revealed.

“The Civilians of Haddonfield are one of the many elements Halloween will leverage to create an immersive horror sandbox,” reads the message from the developers. “We’re excited to begin offering players glimpses into the unique personalities and traits of our brand new cast of heroes in Halloween and look forward to sharing more about their involvement in the singleplayer and multiplayer components of the game.”

As detailed in previous updates, as a Civilian, you’ll be scavenging for supplies, guiding residents to safety, and locating a phone to call the police before the time runs out. As Myers, you’ll be prowling the shadows and make use of his special abilities, like Shape Jump, to traverse through the neighborhood unseen and strike without warning.

Halloween: The Video Game will launch on PlayStation 5Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on September 8, 2026.
