Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Won’t Arrive in 2026

Eva Green was recently announced as part of season three’s cast for the popular Netflix series “Wednesday,” but don’t expect the new season to arrive this year.

“Wednesday” was noticeably absent on Netflix’s announcement of their 2026 TV slate this morning.

That shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, considering the gothic supernatural series is one of Netflix’s more elaborate productions. “Wednesday” season two arrived almost three years after the first, also partially impacted by the 2023 strikes in Hollywood. Netflix’s #1 most watched series premiered in 2022.

The series received its season three renewal months ahead of season two’s premiere, and production is rumored to begin next month for a 2027 debut.

In the latest season of the Netflix series, “Nevermore is back in session as Wednesday tangles with a new principal, a devious campus stalker, and a waning grip on her psychic powers.”

Creator/showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar return for the spine-tingling second season of “Wednesday,” alongside executive producer and director Tim Burton.

Returning cast includes Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joanna Lumley, and Fred Armisen.

For those bummed by the news, there’s more Addams Family kookiness on the way. Fred Armisen’s Uncle Fester is getting his own spinoff series as well.

“It’s something we’re definitely noodling; there are other characters we can look at,” series co-creator Alfred Gough teased previously. Netflix’s Bela Bajaria adds, “There’s a lot to explore in the Addams Family.”

The first two seasons of “Wednesday” are available to stream now on Netflix.
