A sequel to the Mortal Kombat movie from 2021 is on the way, and THR reports that Tati Gabrielle (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) is in final talks to star as MK character Jade.
THR reminds, “Jade is an assassin who is a friend and bodyguard to the character known as Princess Kitana.” Jade first appeared in Mortal Kombat II as a secret character.
Karl Urban (“The Boys”) will also star in Mortal Kombat 2 as Johnny Cage.
Simon McQuoid is reportedly back to direct Mortal Kombat 2. Previously reported, Jeremy Slater (“The Exorcist”, “Moon Knight”) is writing the upcoming sequel.
