Leviathan 4K UHD from Kino Lorber

Leviathan plunges onto 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on February 20 via Kino Lorber. The 1989 sci-fi/horror film been newly restored in 4K from the 35mm interpositive with Dolby Vision/HDR and 5.1 surround and lossless 2.0 audio.

George P. Cosmatos (Rambo: First Blood Part II, Tombstone) directs from a script by David Webb Peoples (Blade Runner, 12 Monkeys) and Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, The Fugitive). Peter Weller, Richard Crenna, Amanda Pays, Daniel Stern, Ernie Hudson, Michael Carmine, Lisa Eilbacher, and Héctor Elizondo star.

Special features include: a new commentary by film historians Steve Mitchell and Nathaniel Thompson; Leviathan: Monster Melting Pot featurette; interviews with Hudson and Elizondo; the trailer; and reversible artwork.


Pumpkinhead & Killer Klowns Puppets from Toynk

Reach out and grab some fun with Toynk’s Reachers, a new line of 13″ puppets with hand-operated extendable arms.

Pumpkinhead and Killer Klowns from Outer Space’s Shorty are available for $39.99 each.


Killer Icons Prints from Gary Pullin

“Ghoulish” Gary Pullin’s Killer Icons series features pop art-style designs based on Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser, Child’s Play, and Candyman.

Each design is printed on 5×5 matte card stock and signed by the artist. The set of six costs $40.


Gremlins Figures from Super 7

Gremlins was part of Super 7’s ReAction Figures line when they were working with Funko back in 2015, but new versions of Gizmo and Stripe are coming in early 2024.

Gizmo comes with 3D glasses, while Stripe has a circular saw blade. The 3.75″ scale retro-style toys are up for pre-order for $20 each.


The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes Steelbook 4K UHD from Walmart

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is coming to home video on February 13, and Walmart will carry an exclusive Steelbook 4K UHD + Blu-ray + Digital edition of the prequel featuring artwork by Tracie Ching.

Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2) directs from a script by Michael Lesslie (Assassin’s Creed) and Michael Arndt (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), based on Suzanne Collins’ 2020 novel. Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage, Jason Schwartzman, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, and Viola Davis star.

Presented in 4K with Dolby Vision/HDR and Dolby Atmos audio, the film is accompanied by a commentary from Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson; an eight-part making-of documentary; Zegler’s “The Hanging Tree” performance; A Letter for the Fans; and theatrical trailers.
