[I found this beautiful, yet slightly creepy, monstrosity on my porch this morning! It’s almost the size of my hand and I don’t have little hands! After looking it up, I found out the common name for it was a Polyphemus moth. Polyphemus was the name of the Giant that captured Odysseus in Homer’s the Odyssey. I think the name fits this moth perfectly! It’s funny how You learn something new every day! #giantmoth #polyphemusmoth #natureisawesome #bugs #ick #iwannatouchit
