Horror filmmaker turned action director Steven C. Miller will next be pitting Frank Grillo against werewolves in the absolutely bananas Year 2.
Described as “The Purge with werewolves”, Year 2 is the wild and crazy story about the return of a supermoon which, on its last appearance just a year earlier, turned anybody touched by moonlight into a werewolf!
Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive first-look tease art Year 2, which shows off one of the awesome practical werewolves in the horror that also stars Katrina Law (“NCIS”) as the brilliant geneticist, Dr. Amy Chen, who goes on a dangerous journey with Grillo’s character to saved loved ones, against a ticking clock.
The rest of the cast includes:
Lou Diamond Phillips plays Dr. Aranda, the Head of the CDC, tasked with finding a cure for the werewolf pandemic.
Ilfenesh Hadera plays Lucy, Wesley’s (Frank Grillo) sister-in-law who is alone with her daughter in their heavily fortified house as it comes under attack from a wolf horde.
And Johnathon Schaech plays Cody, Lucy’s neighbor, hard-core veteran and wolf-killer.
The film hails from The Solution Entertainment and is helmed by Steven C. Miller, director of Dimension Extreme’s The Aggression Scale, Bloody Disgusting’s Under the Bed, and Silent Night, the remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night. He’s gone on to direct several actioneers including Escape Plan 2 and Marauders. It is produced by Myles Nestel and Craig Chapman.
