“X-Men ’97” Trailer – 90s Animated Series Returns to Life in New Series from Marvel and Disney+

Just when you thought the Marvel Cinematic Universe was running out of steam, we’ve been hit in the last few days with the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine and the announcement of a brand new Fantastic Four movie. Marvel has one more trick up their sleeve this week, revealing the official trailer for animated series “X-Men ’97,” which is coming soon to Disney+.

“X-Men: The Animated Series” debuted on Halloween 1992 on the Fox Kids Network, continuing for five seasons before coming to an end in September 1997. All these years later, the story continues in Disney+ series “X-Men ’97,” premiering on March 20, 2024!

And yes, the reboot series will indeed pick up where the original series left off!

Entertainment Weekly details, “X-Men ‘97 picks up after the events of X-Men: The Animated Series’ finale, which saw a gravely injured Charles Xavier leave his team of mutants behind to recover in outer space in the care of Lilandra among the Shi’ar Empire.”

Returning cast members include: Cal Dodd, Lenore Zann, George Buza, Adrian Hough, Christopher Britton, Catherine Disher, Chris Potter, Alison Sealy-Smith, and Alyson Court. New voices include Jennifer Hale, Anniwaa Buachie, Ray Chase, Matthew Waterson, JP Karliak, Holly Chou, Jeff Bennett, and AJ LoCascio.

Beau DeMayo has been set as the head writer and executive producer.
