Wes Craven’s ‘Cursed’ Coming to Blu-ray for the First Time! [Updated]

Wes Craven‘s Cursed is coming to Blu-ray courtesy of Scream Factory, we’ve learned this afternoon, with a two-disc Collector’s Edition Blu-ray set releasing on April 26, 2022.

At this time, no Special Features info is available. However, Scream Factory does note that this release features a “never-before-seen version [that is] shockingly more frightening and undeniably more fun than the original release.” It would seem that the release will include some of that sweet “Craven Cut” footage that we’ve long been waiting for.

UPDATE: The above “never-before-seen version” text was referring to the previously available Unrated Cut, rather than a new version for this release. This was the same text used on the back of the “Unrated” cut’s DVD release, which at the time was “never before seen.”

Scream Factory notes, “Extras will be announced at a later date, but there will be a new HD transfer of both the R-rated theatrical and Unrated cuts.”

Mind you, it’s still entirely possible that they’ve dug up previously unseen footage from Cursed for this release, but let’s hold that thought for now. Stay tuned for more…

Packed with even more intense thrills than audiences experienced in theaters, the included unrated version of Wes Craven’s Cursed brings you the terror of werewolves as never before! Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets), Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland), Joshua Jackson (Dr. Death), Judy Greer (Halloween Kills), and Milo Ventimiglia (Kiss Of The Damned) find themselves caught up in an unimaginable horror!

“A werewolf loose in Los Angeles changes the lives of three young adults who, after being mauled by the beast, learn that the only way to break the curse put upon them is to kill the one who started it all! From the master of horror, Wes Craven.”

If you pre-order the Cursed Blu-ray from ShoutFactory.com you will receive an exclusive rolled 18″ x 24″ poster featuring new artwork from artist Colin Murdoch, seen below.
