‘We Have a Ghost’ – ‘Happy Death Day’ Director’s Netflix Movie Premieres February 24

Up next from Happy Death Day and Freaky director Christopher Landon is the Amblin-style family adventure We Have a Ghost, and Empire has just shared a first look image today.

Additionally, Empire reveals that the film will premiere on Netflix on February 24.

Expect the We Have a Ghost trailer soon.

“I really wanted to flex certain muscles that I felt like I had, but I hadn’t been able to use yet,” Landon tells Empire. “One of those being this big, sweeping, emotional story that really pays off at the end.”

Anthony Mackie (Synchronic) stars alongside David Harbour, with Tig Notaro (Army of the Dead), Jennifer Coolidge (Promising Young Woman), Jahi Di’Allo Winston (Charm City Kings), Erica Ash, Isabella Russo, Niles Fitch, Faith Ford and Steve Coulter.

In the film, “Finding a ghost named Ernest haunting their new home turns Kevin’s family into overnight social media sensations. But when Kevin and Ernest go rogue to investigate the mystery of Ernest’s past, they become a target of the CIA.”

Written and directed by Landon, We Have a Ghost is an adaptation of a story written by Geoff Manaugh that was published on Vice in October of that year. Manaugh’s story was titled Ernest, billed as a “socially mediated ghost story.”
