[Video] ‘Silent Hill’ Composer Akira Yamaoka Talks About Composing Music For ‘Slitterhead’

You may have caught that little Slitterhead trailer at The Game Awards a few weeks back that featured music from Silent Hill alumni, Akira Yamaoka. Well, as a holiday treat, Bokeh Game Studio has not only confirmed that Yamaoka will be creating the music for the upcoming title, but has also released a little interview video with the composer himself!

In the video, Yamaoka talks about his approach to creating sound for video games (including the famous intro track for Silent Hill with the mandolin), and how he came to compose the music for Slitterhead. When you have someone talking about how his creative thoughts were “suddenly stabbed” as if his guts were “ripped out” when recalling his composing of the Silent Hill music, you know this is a good one.

Slitterhead is currently in development for PC and consoles. The action-oriented adventure game will have you battling mysterious creatures called Yakushi that can mimic humans.
