[Video] ‘Elden Ring’ Goes Gold, Will Release on February 25 for PC, Consoles

Elden Ring and soulslike fans will be breathing a sigh of relief, as the game has officially gone gold. Per Gematsu, FromSoftware‘s Yasuhiro Kitao confirmed in a video presentation for the Taipei Game Show 2022 video that the gold master version of Elden Ring has been completed, and is currently on track to meet its February 25 release date.

“[Development is going smoothly,]” reports Kitao. “Elden Ring was originally slated for release in January of this year, and it has been pushed back once to February. But please be assured, the title will be ready for sale on February 25. The master version has already been submitted, and right now, the team is working on a day one patch to make sure everything in the game is just so.”

Elden Ring takes place in the realm of the Lands Between. You’re on a quest to unite the shards of the Elden Ring in order to restore it, and claim the title of Elden Lord. Standing in your way are the offspring of Queen Marika the Eternal, which now rule the realm.

Elden Ring is due out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
