‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’: Brand New Trailer Snacks On Bad Guys and Reveals Carnage’s Origin Story!

“All I ever wanted in this world… is Carnage.”

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be opening wide in theaters on September 24, and Sony has kicked off the week with a new trailer that’s packed with nearly 3 minutes of footage.

Venom 2 is directed this time by Andy Serkis with Tom Hardy returning as Eddie Brock, who is of course also the alien symbiote known as Venom. Woody Harrelson, who popped up as Cletus Kasady in the first film’s post-credits scene, ultimately becomes Carnage in the film.

Carnage’s origin story is previewed in this second trailer, which is loaded with new footage of both Carnage and Venom unleashing the beast within. It’s a full-on monster vs. monster battle this time around, and the silly tone of the first film clearly isn’t being left behind.

Michelle Williams is also back, with Naomie Harris co-starring as Shriek.
