‘V Rising’ Claims Another Milestone With Six Million Units Sold

Stunlock Studios keeps on keeping on with its open-world vampire survival game V Rising. After reaching five million units sold earlier this year, the developer has announced that the game has now sold approximately six million units since its debut back in 2022.

“Reaching 6 million players is an incredible moment for all of us,” said Rickard Frisegård, CEO of Stunlock Studios. “This milestone reflects years of passion, craftsmanship, and community support that have kept V Rising thriving since its release. We’re proud of the journey we’ve taken together and grateful for every player who has embraced our world.”

Stunlock has continued to cater to V Rising fans, continually providing patches and fixes for the game, as well as rewarding loyal fans with the free Invaders of Oakveil update back in April. That’s on top of the no-brainer move in the Legacy of Castlevania DLC crossover that was released last year.

As for what’s next has yet to be determined. The team mentioned in a June blog post that for the moment, they’re busy with the R&D side of things, stating that the path ahead “will take longer than usual to reveal itself,” and asks fans for patience for the next big thing.

V Rising is an open-world survival game that sees you as a newly-awakened vampire in a world ruled by humans. In your rise to become the next Dracula, you’ll feed on blood to gain new powers, hide from the scorching sun, and engage in real-time PvE and PvP combat set in a dark fantasy realm.

Along the way, you’ll be constructing your castle, pillage villages, skirmish with bandits, and delve into the lairs of supernatural beasts. You also have the ability to invite friends to join as you explore a vast open world. You can also choose to attack other player’s castles, or play the peacemaker in your quest for power.

You can grab the game today on Steam and the PlayStation 5.
